What Sets Us Apart?
Learn More About Arthritis Knee Pain Centers
Unfortunately, we’ve noticed a growing trend in the medical community to focus on efficiency instead of patient relationships. Our primary focus is you, our patients. Our empathy shows every time we meet. You are like family to us. We care for you and prioritize your needs without making you feel like a checkmark on a “to-do” list. We promise to give you the attention you need and still manage our time to show respect to all our patients
You may have noticed that if you bring up knee pain during a visit, many physicians try to manage it with prescriptions, physical therapy, or surgery. Severe pain won’t always respond to over-the-counter medications or movement exercises, and a total knee replacement surgery feels like an extreme jump in addressing your pain. You may not know that there are other, less invasive treatment options.
We found that these treatments can help many people reduce their knee pain and increase their daily activity without having to skip ahead to risky surgery. Many patients find relief quickly without downtime.
Every day we see lives change at Arthritis Knee Pain Centers. That might sound unbelievable, but it’s true. Put simply, when we help resolve your pain you can look forward to enjoying daily activities again. Put simply, when we help resolve your pain and inflammation, your daily activities look different than they did before. It’s a natural result of what we do.

Inspiring Change, Giving Back, Building Communities
At AKPC, we believe in making positive changes by giving back to our community. The Arthritis Knee Pain Centers Foundation (AKPC Foundation) was formed in 2020 and was organized exclusively for the charitable support of tax-exempt organizations. We aid charities that focus primarily on promoting the health and well-being of people in the communities we serve.
Our annual strategic summit serves as a fundraising platform. Over the past four years, the AKPC Foundation has given over $50,000.00 to charities in our communities. The Foundation structures its charter so that 100% of contributions go directly to the charities we support:
- Food banks in all the AKPC communities
- YMCAs
- Flood victims and disaster victims in Kentucky
- Sponsorship of a minority student in medical school
We also encourage our teams to dedicate their time to community activities, ranging from assisting the elderly to volunteer work at local food banks. By encouraging personal investment in these causes, we increase the positive impact, creating a ripple effect that extends far beyond money donations. We not only share our time with the community but inspire others to join our movement of purposeful giving and service.

How long will it take to work?
Most of our patients experience significant pain relief from our treatment. Many of our patients’ pain levels are reduced shortly after the first treatment.
There is no charge for the initial screening and there is no obligation to start treatment. Our therapy is covered by Medicare and most insurances around the country. Our in-house insurance team can help guide you.
The treatment program usually consists of a series of 3-5 injections usually administered about once a week. We follow up with patients 4-6 weeks after the series is completed. If the patient is experiencing any residual pain, other treatment options are available. The treatment can usually be repeated every 6 months to help keep your knees feeling great.
Unlike most medical appointments you won’t have to wait weeks or months. We can usually get you scheduled very quickly – often the same day.

No medical treatment works for every patient 100% of the time. We can’t guarantee treatment. It’s illegal to do so. However, we use live motion x-ray called fluoroscopy so our doctors can ensure the treatment is placed in the right spot for the very best outcomes.
The treatment is typically done a little at-a-time, once a week, for 3-5 weeks. That gives it time to be absorbed and start working. After all the treatments have been completed the healing response continues.
Every patient’s condition is different. Some people start feeling relief after the first treatment. For others, it may take longer for the treatment to work. The full benefit of the treatment usually occurs a few weeks after the treatment series has been completed. We now offer expanded treatment options, so if one treatment doesn't give you full relief, another one may!
For most people, the treatment can last several months but varies by patient. We schedule check-up appointments 4 to 6 weeks after your treatment and every 6 months to assess your condition and determine the next steps to keep your knees feeling great.
Our doctors are skillful experts and numb your knee before giving the injections. Most patients report feeling little or no pain during the treatment.
Many doctors recommend, NSAIDs, opioids, steroid injections, or knee replacement surgery to treat knee pain. There are risks associated with all these approaches. There is also a long recovery period with surgery.
Some doctors offer similar treatments without using live motion x-ray, called fluoroscopy, to ensure the medicine is placed in the right spot. Studies show that doctors who don’t use fluoroscopy can miss the knee joint up to 30% of the time.
Our treatments are different. We always use live motion x-ray and have treated over 50,000 patients successfully. No Opioids. No Surgery. No Prescriptions. No Downtime. We are the no-risk knee pain specialists.
Every patient is different. Even if you’ve have had a knee replacement, we may be able to help you. Call us to schedule a no-charge screening to see if you qualify.
