What is Fluoroscopy?

Fluoroscopy is a type of medical imaging that shows a real-time, continuous X-ray image on a screen, much like an X-ray movie. In this procedure, an X-ray beam passes through the leg. The leg image transmits to a screen so the doctor can see the detail inside the knee and the placement of his instruments throughout the procedure.

At Arthritis Knee Pain Centers, we want to address your osteoarthritis at its root. Our primary treatment relies on fluoroscopic digital imaging for accurate placement of the safe, lubricating gel (the viscosupplement) within the knee joint. In this advanced technique, precision makes all the difference! It distinguishes us from other medical clinics. We know 100% that we are targeting relief where it’s needed most.

What Does It Look Like?

As Accurate As Possible

While x-rays take a brief snapshot internally, fluoroscopy-guided procedures show continuous, real-time images of your internal tissues.

Thinking about getting knee treatment without live motion imaging?

Live motion imaging of the knee, called fluoroscopy, is critical to the effectiveness of our treatments. Without fluoroscopy, even experienced doctors miss the correct placement up to 30% of the time. Would you want your arthritis knee pain treatments to be “performed in the dark?”
