Treatment Plans Designed To Meet Your Needs
At Arthritis Knee Pain Centers - Greensboro, we offer a comprehensive range of services to cater to your specific needs:
Viscosupplementation Gel Injections
Viscosupplementation knee injections are a well-known, non-surgical treatment method for knee osteoarthritis. Using fluoroscopy, doctors can inject a gel-like substance into the joint to restore lubrication and cushion the affected joint. This not only increases the accuracy of the treatment but also enhances its effectiveness, as the gel is more likely to be placed in the optimal position within the joint.
Knee Braces
for Arthritis
Our modern knee braces may be just the thing you need to feel more stable while up and about! We customize our braces to reduce pain, provide support, and help you move. They are easy to wear with regular clothing.
Genicular Artery Embolization
Genicular Artery Embolization (GAE) is a relatively new, minimally invasive procedure that’s gaining popularity for its effectiveness in treating chronic knee pain, especially in patients with osteoarthritis. GAE is a non-surgical, same day procedure where trained physicians use tiny beads to block abnormal arteries in the knee. These are the arteries that contribute to inflammation and pain in the knee joint. By blocking these arteries, GAE reduces the blood flow to the inflamed areas, thereby decreasing inflammation and pain.
Advanced Orthopedic Back Braces
Back pain and knee pain generally go together. Many who have one, experience the other at some point. Our orthopedic back braces give wonderful support and are easy to wear, at home or on the move. These braces are designed to diminish back pain, correct posture, and reduce the pressure on your spine.
The Importance
of Knee Health
Your knees are essential for so many aspects of daily life, from fun activities like running and dancing to the basic ones like walking and climbing stairs. They really are the unsung heroes of your mobility.
Your
Mobility
Knees act as shock absorbers for your body. They are critical in maintaining balance, allowing you to bend and straighten your legs, and facilitating movement. When your knees are healthy, they make all these movements seamless and pain-free. But if they start to hurt or don’t function properly, it can really put a damper on your activities and slow you down.
In essence, caring for your knees is caring for your overall quality of life.
Active
Lifestyle
Your knees play a vital role in almost every form of physical activity you do, whether it’s something as simple as walking your neighborhood or as intense as working with a physical trainer. Even activities like dancing, which require a lot of knee movement, become more enjoyable when your knees are in good shape. By taking care of your knees, you’re ensuring that you can continue participating in these activities without discomfort or limitations.
Daily
Independence
Strong and healthy knees are essential for your daily independence. They make it easier to perform routine tasks that many of us take for granted, like climbing stairs, bending down, or even just getting out of a chair.
Joint
Protection
Taking proactive measures for knee health is much more than just avoiding immediate pain or discomfort; it’s about ensuring long-term mobility and quality of life.
Regular exercise is vital for keeping your knees healthy. It strengthens the muscles around your knees, providing better support and reducing the strain on the knee joints themselves. Stretching is equally important, as it maintains flexibility, which is crucial for joint health.
Proactive
Measures
Proactive measures also include being mindful of your activities and avoiding those that put excessive strain on your knees. It can be as simple as using proper techniques while lifting heavy objects or varying your exercise routine to include low-impact activities like swimming or cycling.
Lifelong
Adventures
Are you seeing why knee health is so integral to a fulfilling life? Healthy knees are like a passport to a world of adventures, allowing you to indulge in various activities and experiences. Whether it’s the joy of exploring Europe, the relaxation of walking on a beach, or the excitement of playing with grandkids, having healthy, pain-free knees is key to enjoying these moments to the fullest.
Enhanced
Quality of Life
The quality of your life is significantly enhanced when your knees are in good shape. Pain-free knees mean you can focus on the joys of life rather than the discomfort. Healthy knees provide the freedom of mobility, which is not just about moving from one place to another but about experiencing life without limitations.
