I been going here now for almost 3 years I like to say and so far so good. I started off with those Steroids shots and it seemed to help. I felt like I needed more relief though. So we tried something else called Synovisal now I’m sure I might have the spelling wrong. Anyways it’s been working for me now. I’m much happier because I have had relief for several months before I had to come back. Now that’s more relief than I’ve been getting before. So thank You doctors at Arthritis Knee Pain Center for doing such a great job. 😊👍🏽

Staff is very warm and efficient. The NP answering my questions about knee injections was helpful. The physician was expert at injections. I am hopeful for pain reduction after I complete the series.
All appointments exceeded my expectations except the last on on March 29. The female who was to inject my left knee had her gloves on, reached down to the floor to pick up an alcohol swab and toss it in the trash. It appeared to me that she was not going to change her glove before swabbing/spraying my knee. I asked her to change her glove. She became very defensive, started to walk out of the room. I know the skin is not sterile, however, she was going to inject my knee which means she would be breaking my first line of defense-my intact skin. Her YSL purse on the counter, the nice sweater she was wearing did not impress me. Her lack of sensitivity toward my request spoke volumes. She comes in contact with patients all day. I know that sweater also touches areas that put her and her patients at risk. If she really does not know better, then someone please teach her. If she knows better, then she should be more aware of her actions. Makes one wonder that if she does this in the presence of patients, then how careful is she when the patient is not watching or able to observe her technique.
For years I've been treated like my pain wasn't real and like a liar because I have arthritis pain. I was told it wasn't uncommon for me to have arthritis, just uncommon for me to be this young (34) and this symptomatic. So for years my pain was discredited.Doctors acted like my pain didn't matter. Would tell me it was subjective and then dismiss it as if they knew my pain levels personally. It took me literally crying on a doctor's office after YEARS of physical therapy, cortisone shots, and Tylenol (because they think EVERYONE is fishing for narcotics and will cite the opioid epidemic to patients with zero history of pill abuse), before they sent me to a pain center to manage it. Unfortunately, my insurance didn't want to cover it so I had to try again.I saw the Arthritis Pain Center advertised in a hospital I was visiting and I decided to give them a call and I'm so glad I did. They did X-rays (my previous doctors did them and MRIs), saw that I did have arthritis in both knees, and immediately went to work and let me know I was a good candidate for a procedure that would relieve pain and give me more fluid movement back in my knees. They didn't discredit my pain because I'm young. They didn't assume anything. They listened, confirmed with X-rays (and the fact I was walking with a cane), and went to work.My right knee got it's last injection yesterday and they will start on the left next week. I already have been feeling a difference since they started on the right. It hurts less, it doesn't feel like a rusty hinge when I move it. It still has a couple weeks to show complete change, but so far it's been great! They even fitted me with custom braces for both knees that fit well, help, and don't scrape the insides of my thighs like other braces I've used. The staff there are all kind. The patients there are all kind. It's a quick and easy process and I'm so glad I advocated for myself and went ahead and gave them a call. I'm tired of being 34 on a cane unable to enjoy being out for more than 20 minutes. Now it feels like I'm gaining my life back!
First time visiting, got my first injection. Nurse's was very friendly and helpful. Doctor was very friendly and helpful also very informative about what was going to happen. Thanks
